Bears vs Eagles

This Sunday Night Football Week 11 will feature Philadelphia Eagles against Chiacago Bears at Soldier Field, Chicago, Illinois.

The last time that this two teams met, Kyle Orton tied a career-high with three touchdown passes as the Bears edged the Eagles, 24-20, on Sept. 28, 2008. The Eagles have won five of the past seven vs. the Bears, but trail the overall series, 27-9-1.

The Eagles and the Bears will square off in crucial NFC showdown this Sunday Night football Week 11. They are trying to avoid a third straight loss.  Philadelphia parades a 5-4 record while the Bears are 4-5.

For the hosting Bears, things have gradually gone from bad to worse, especially for Jay Cutler. In last week’s game against the 49ers, Cutler threw a career-high 5 picks, in one of the ugliest games you’ll ever see. To make matters worse, every single one of Cutler’s interceptions last week gave the opposition great field positioning.

The Madden Curse – Why Brett Favre May be the First to Break It!

To all the uninformed out there, the football season has a curse lurking over its shoulder. A lot of athletes refuse to acknowledge it, but it does exist. The evidence is too overwhelming. Of course we are talking about the Madden Curse.

What is the so-called “Madden Curse” you might ask? Well the madden curse is what happens to whatever athlete is displayed on the cover of the newest edition of the hugely popular John Madden football video game series. What happens? Quite simply, they get injured! They might get injured for 1 game, or in the example of the Atlanta Falcons ex-quarterback Michael Vick, they lose their athletes for damn near the whole year! Michael Vick was the featured athlete on Madden ’04 and was lost to the Atlanta falcons on a knee injury during their 04-05 season! It doesn’t matter the severity of the injury or the length of the injury, it seems that as long as the athlete is injured, the Madden Curse is satisfied! A

We Wish You a Merry March Madness

It’s the night before the NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament and not a creature is stirring. All the brackets have been filled out with care and visions of buzzer beaters and Cinderella teams dance in our heads.

The snacks are ready to go in the fridge and the email claiming you have laryngitis is written and ready to send to your boss.

For sports fans, the NCAA Tournament is a lot like Christmas. In some ways the tournament is better because you can’t watch 12 hours of basketball on December 25th and there’s no fear you’ll receive a fruitcake.

The 2009 tournament has the possibility to be one of the best in recent memories. Any of the top four seeds, Louisville, Pittsburgh, Connecticut and the North Carolina Tar Heels, can cut down the nets and the field-of-65 is replete with sold, well coached teams.

Even the two seeds are strong this year. The East’s number two, Duke, has the best RPI in the country and

Pay attention to the NFL!

NFL-Football season is fast approaching and many individuals are perched on the end of their seats waiting for their favorite team to take the field. There is a lot of speculation as to which teams will be the hot ticket items this year and in order to provide an answer to this question it is important to look at the past football seasons and see which teams had the winning streaks and which ones left much to be desired with regard to the statistics.

Past Super Bowl Winners and Runners-Up

Taking a look back at the past Super Bowl winners as well as the second place teams is a great way to try and predict the future with regard to football teams to watch. The New England Patriots are definitely a team to watch out for if one is on the opposing side. Being past Super Bowl winners for three out the prior ten years is a record worth boasting about. Another team whose Super Bowl win is a bit more current is that of the Pittsburgh Steelers who won the 2006

Afc Vs. Nfc Vs. Nfl

This is the 2nd half action from the Philly-Dallas game for week 9 as Tecmo Super Bowl predicts the final score.

Afc Vs. Nfc Vs. Nfl

Is the AFC still the NFL’s supreme conference? Be likely not, but let’s put it this way; the top half of the AFC is better than the top half of the NFC .The bottom half of the NFC is better than the bottom half of the AFC. The top half of the AFC went 25-7 against NFC opponents (Patriots, Colts, Chargers, Steelers, Jaguars, Titans, Browns, Texans). The top half of the NFC went 19-13 against AFC opponents (Cowboys, Packers, Seahawks, Bucs, Giants, Redskins, Vikings, Eagles). Does this make sense? Are you confused?

The cycle is beginning to turn back to the NFC, but we think there will be about 3-5 more years of AFC dominance or not?
The dominant Super Bowl champion New York Giants dwells in the NFC. Two of the AFC’s top players (New England Patriots QB Tom Brady, San Diego Chargers LB Shawne Merriman) are lost for the entire season. The NFC is 4-2 vs. the AFC in interconference play after two weeks of the season.

The NFC has not had

Watch the Washington Redskins Online

You just have to  watch the Washington Redskins online this year. There’s going to be a ton of excitement in D.C. this season as  the Skins look to deliver a scorching hot season for everyone to enjoy. They welcome back a great group of vets and one face familiar to NFL fans everywhere – Donovan McNabb. I know I can watch every televised game because I found this software that lets me do so.

All you need is the software I found that you easily download from the Internet. Install it on your computer, where you can easily operate it providing you with the best seat in the stadium for all the great Redskins action. Your ticket to viewing Skins action through the 2010 season would be a high-speed Internet connection to either DSL or cable. Then you will be all set to watch live streaming video online. A version is available for either Mac or PC.

The Redskins shave to start feeling like winners once more. It wasn’t too long ago that the

Top 5 2009 Fantasy Football Rookies

The 2009 NFL draft is over and I have targeted my top five impact rookies for next year along with a couple bonus picks and a sleeper. Of course, to be drafted in the NFL a player has to be extremely talented, however their background and the situation that they inherit has a lot to do with how much of an impact they can have in their rookie campaign. Here are my top five rookies to keep your eye on in your fantasy draft this year:

1. Knowshon Moreno RB Denver Broncos- One of the most explosive players in the draft this year, Moreno should be given every opportunity to succeed in Denver after not being able to keep running backs healthy last year. One of the few every down backs nowadays, Knowshon can do it all. He is very durable and will be especially valuable in point per reception leagues because he can catch the ball well. The Broncos offense features a very good receiver group lead by Brandon Marshall, will now be quarterbacked by Kyle Orton who

2007 NFC East

When Eagles quarterback Donovan McNabb went down for the season, combined with the team already floundering before his injury, it seemed to sound the death knell for their chances at the playoffs. But charging in from out of nowhere to save the day was Jeff Garcia, he who couldn’t change the fortunes of Cleveland and Detroit, and the Eagles crept off with the division title. Dallas and the Giants stumbled in, and also stumbled out, of the playoffs. Washington just plain stumbled. Will the division take the backdoor again or walk proud into the limelight?

From bottom to top, the NFC East in 2007-08:

Washington Redskins: Joe Gibbs came back like a conquering hero to the Redskins four seasons ago. After this season, he may want to consider trying the reception back in NASCAR again. He’s now on his third starting quarterback in Jason Campbell, and he should improve some, but it’s still a long way to go. RB Clinton Portis is there, but even an

NFL Week 16 Power Rankings: Indianapolis Remains on Top

NFL Week 16 Power Rankings – Indianapolis Remains on Top

No.1 Indianapolis Colts 14-0

The Colts worked the Jaguars of Jacksonville, kicking the sleek cats with those powerful young hooves, and stomping them into the turf.

No. 2 New Orleans Saints 13-1

New Orleans lost a game to Dallas, who the game meant much more to, and dropped a spot to No 2. They will finish the season at 15-1 and stay at this position into the playoffs.

No. 3 Minnesota Vikings

The Minnesota Vikings rebounded from their Arizona defeat by chopping up the Bengals, piece by piece. Minnesota should also win out to finish at 14-2 and keep the No. 3 ranking into the playoffs. They are a dangerous team to face on the road.

No. 4 San Diego Chargers

The San Diego Chargers may be finally at the dream season they have been waiting for. Beat Cincinnati at home and wrap this division up in
